All students are being released right now, buses are about to leave the campus.
Dear Mt. Turnbull Elementary Parents,
At approximately 1:50 P.M. we placed our campus on lockdown. Wildlife was observed by a staff member in the vicinity. Officer Olivar and Tribal Security canvased the area and gave us the ‘all clear’ in less than an hour.
Any time our campus is placed on lockdown, we will send information home.

Mt. Turnbull Elementary will be having our Harvest Festival on October 27, 2022
5:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m
The Harvest Festival will be a fun day for children and parents, but its success is largely dependent on parents and community volunteers. We are asking for your organizations to help with setting up a booth to entertain children, such as face painting, basketball shooting, and ring toss (those are only a few examples of many activities).
We are also asking for donations of bottled waters, sports drinks and candy for prizes.
If you can help in any way, please call the school to inform us on how you can help to make the event a success. Donations will need to be dropped off at Mt. Turnbull Elementary Office. If you have any questions, please call the office at 928-475-2020.
Thank you so much for your time and help to make this carnival a great day for the children. This will be a fun and safe place for all kids.

The Kindergarten class has started a three-week learning unit on colors. Each day, they will focus on a different "Color of the Day."

The Turnbull Elementary School students had the opportunity to learn about and plant a garden thanks to ASU. The fifth grade students planted carrots, radishes and spinach. An educational packet and seeds will also be sent home with the students this week so they can plant a garden at home too.

The 2nd grade class learned the importance of thinking about what we are going to say before saying it. They learned that once something has been said, it is almost impossible to get it back, just like it is almost impossible to get all of the toothpaste back into the tube once it is out. These are the pictures of that activity. As you can see the children were very engaged.
